Clean Yamuna Campaign At The City Of Taj On March 22

22nd March is the World Water Day. It’s the trash pick up from river banks and ponds day. So join the river cleaning campaign on March 22, 2010.
Each year we organize a programme to pick up trash from river banks and community ponds. Lots of students participate.
The idea is to sensitize people to the problem of dying rivers.
Our callous neglect and indifference is killing our life-lines, our water bodies. Look at the pile of polythene and waste dumps.
The river has been reduced to a sewage canal.
Is it too early to wake up or are we already late?
If you care for your river join us on March 22 at various locations along the Yamuna bank in the city of the Taj Mahal. Timings are between 9am to 12 noon.
Pick up the trash and express your resolve and your willingness to work to save the glory of the great Yamuna river.
Please join the programme at one of the ghats from Poiya ghat to Hathi ghat along the river. Many schools are participating. Senior citizens have also assured us support.
Can't you spare a few minutes to express your solidarity. Your presence will mean you care for the river. Your participation will send a strong message that you will not let the river die.
The same day volunteers in Washington DC will clean up river Potomac and in China groups will pick up trash from the river in Wuhan.
